How time series data and real-time visibility make a big difference.
Have you ever used Google Maps when you already know the directions?
Co-Founder and CEO Chris explains:
"When I drive to the airport, I use Google Maps. I don't use Google Maps to drive to the airport because I don't know how to get there. If I traveled to the airport 50 times last year, I technically know how."
"I use Google Maps to get to the airport for 3 reasons:
- I need to know when to leave. I know when I should arrive, so I use the app to know when to leave. It shows me what’s happening in the middle.
- I use it to coordinate with others. I might be picking up my business partner Catherine or bringing my kids. So I use the app to tell everyone else when we’re supposed to leave.
- I trust that I will be rerouted when there are changes. On the journey, there might be an accident or traffic, and I might have to decide on a better route to get to the airport based on the app’s suggestions. Lastly, I might need to stop and get gas, and I have to figure out how long my stop will influence my travel."
If you remember MapQuest in the late 1990’s or early 2000’s, printing directions on paper from Point A to Point B was revolutionary. The next big iteration happened on Google Maps where you could see the map on your smartphone and input preferences such as avoiding highways.
But now, in 2025, we live in a world where Waze and the improved Google Maps give us real-time information like road closures, accidents, and alternate routes to help us see what’s ahead, predict the future, and weigh options in an instant. This immediate feedback is important in a constantly changing world.
So now, even if you know how to drive to the airport, you might use Google Maps to help you make all these decisions along the way. You utilize Google Maps’ time series data to make better decisions.
Bringing clarity to your working capital
This is how you can understand the power of Klear. You can look at your bank account and you see money in there. But do you know how the money needs to be deployed each and every day and week? Do you know when money is coming in from customers each and every day and week? And when you get a new contract, do you know how that new contract impacts your flow of funds? Or is this information stuck in a static, dead spreadsheet in a file somewhere, or in lots of different systems that don’t talk to one another?
Does your entire team know all of this information? And do your funders and board know, too?
This is the core of what we do at Klear. Yes, one of our biggest strengths is injecting inexpensive and effective working capital into your business at the right moments, but at our core, we bring visibility and transparency in our app using time series data. We create a positive feedback loop so you can make better decisions.
How do we make it happen?
Tech-enabled solution.
Our team of engineers designed an app with innovative businesses in mind. We have a vision of enabling our users to serve their large customers and fulfill increasing demand. We want you to scale on your terms.
Embedded working capital.
We are different from other firms providing funding because we access institutional capital. But more importantly, we’ve embedded solutions to access this capital in our system so you can build the capability, the competency, and the financial literacy to gain control of your business. Business leaders do not only need money – they need visibility and control to make these mission-critical decisions when growing and scaling.
What does this mean for our users?
This means our users provide their data – including their purchase orders, their payment obligations, customer information, and sales pipeline – and Klear provides the working capital infrastructure to provide real-time visibility and embedded capital.
It means that Klear’s tech-enabled solution is a helpful everyday tool, like Google Maps for the unique landscape of your business, providing essential information so you can make the best decisions at the right time.
